Kerching! - APA Rate Calculator

Kerching! is a rate calculator for the APA ratecard (up to date as of 2021) for all grades working on TV Commercials. It does not aim to directly compete with the existing Rate app, but provide an always online quick calculator for checking your invoices and wondering why the 1st AD has an Audi and you have a VW. It’s as accurate as I can make it, but their may be some corner cases that it just doesn’t handle.

The rate calculator currently supports all day types, basic shoot days, night shoots, sunday, all overtime and continuous working days.

Note that at present it does not handle grades with their own unique overtime rules (producers, PM’s, runners etc.).

Where a range of acceptable rates is given on the ratecard, it currently selects the highest possible rate from the range.

The Ratecard is a confusing and in places contridictory document. If you are an expert and notice any small or major errors contact me via email (harry [at] hsmith.net) so I can resolve them.
